The worldchanging life
“When you make a conscious choice—as millions of people are starting to—to become the kind of person who is going to redefine the world around them, it actually lifts the burden of despair. It makes you somebody who’s part of building the future, rather than somebody whom the future is bearing down upon. I recommend to people to do one thing: become one of those people.”

founder of worldchanging.com

6 goodnews stories in the Village
§ Last Saturday’s E65 St. cleanup was a major over-achievement: more volunteers showed, more trash collected, more streets covered than expected. The sweep was masterminded by the E63rd/Fleet/Kenyon Block Club--with the support of Morgana Little League, Cleveland Central Catholic, and a host of local businesses.
§ Last Sunday’s P.D. actually printed good news about SV! It was in the form of a letter by Master Product’s Jeff Walters, praising the 2008 Broadway Summit for its diverse, youthful energy.
§ The 32nd Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Holy Name, on Sunday, April 20th, served a record crowd.
§ Last weekend’s Get Hep Swing at Bohemian Hall (featuring Joe Hunter's Band) attracted dancers from Akron, Kent, Youngstown, Memphis, and a contingent from —whoa!—South Korea.
§ The éS Game of Skate, to take place in the streets of the Broadway-E55 Landmark District, will be an historic event for the entire city. (See May 14th).
§ The 2nd annual Morgana Run is expected to attract runners from all over Greater Cleveland. (See May 31st)
